Authenticity. Compassion. Connection.
It’s tough to identify just three core values, but when it comes to my work as a therapist, I value the power of human connection and the transformations that can happen in a safe and supportive space, and compassion and authenticy are my roadmap to building connection. I make that very clear from Day One.
By blending my professional training with a handful of lived experience (personal joys and setbacks included), I create a space in which my clients feel seen, heard, and understood. My work history includes jobs in the corporate sector, university settings, and business ownership in private practice. I am also a spouse, working parent to two teens, a daughter, sibling, friend, and community member.
Our minds can be quite complicated, so I often use examples from everyday life to help my clients demystify the complexity of their thoughts and feelings and make meaningful connections.
On the home front, I love spending time with my husband, sons, and our two dogs, Heather and Bonnie. Making memories with my family lights me up, and hiking, bike rides, backyard bonfires, lacrosse games, spaghetti and meatball dinners, and lots of laughter around the table are my favorite ways we do that.
